Adding Insurance Provider Codes

When billing insurance companies directly, most companies will supply you with a Provider Code that must be included in the invoice.

In PPS these can be added by going to Tools > Look-up Tables > Insurance Provider Codes.

From here you can input codes and make them specific to practitioners or locations, depending on what is required.
Click Add to open a window to create a new code.

Here you can select which Practitioner to associate the code to. If you have been allocated a practice-wide Provider Code then add the same code to each of your practitioners individidually for that insurance company. You can also make codes specific to locations from here using the Location field.

Before a code can be associated to an insurance company one must be set up in your list of third-party contacts. These can be added by going to Third-Paties > 3rd Party Contact Details > Add > Insurance Company.
