Please Note: This guide is only applicable to users accessing our new Express v2 system. If you have not had your system updated to this version of Express you can contact support@rushcliff.com to see if you are eligible for an upgrade.
The User Settings in Express will allow you to check your email address, reset your password and check your Diary Options.
Navigate to the Settings menu in the top right-hand corner of your system and then select Personal Settings to access the user settings for the logged-in user.
Section 1 - Your Details
Your email address can be checked and updated here to ensure that your contact information is correct. This email address will also be used if you have forgotten your password and you need to request a password reset from the login screen. Ensure that these details are checked and updated regularly.
Please Note: We suggest that you enter your email address here when you first log in to ensure that there is a linked email address in the event that you do forget your password.
Section 2 - Reset Password
Important: Please ensure that all passwords meet the minimum requirement of 12 characters in length if 2FA is not enabled.
Keep your Express system protected by making sure your password is unique and secure. You can reset your password when needed by navigating to Settings > User Settings > Reset Password where you can enter your existing password and then enter your new password, confirm and save it.
Minimum Password Requirements
If 2FA is enabled
If you have 2FA enabled, you can set a 'Standard' security level password which must be between 8 and 64 characters long and may contain letters, numbers, spaces and special characters.
If 2FA is not enabled
If you do not have 2FA enabled, you will be required to set a 'High' security level password which must be between 12 and 64 characters long and may contain letters, numbers, spaces and special characters.
If your current password does not meet these requirements, you will be prompted to update your password the next time you log in.
2FA can be enabled for each user that accesses PPS Express. When turned on, you will be prompted for your password and your 2FA code when logging in to PPS Express.
For more information on 2FA please see this guide.
Please Note: If you try and fail to log into your Express account 6 or more times the Express login will be locked for 2 minutes as a security precaution. Wait 2 minutes and you can try log in again. If you still cannot log in you can follow the 'forgotten your password?' link on the login screen where a new password will be emailed to the email address linked or you can contact support@rushcliff.com who can reset the password for you.
Section 3 - Login details for users with ExpressV2 and a PPS system
For any users that have a PPS (hosted or local) system alongside Express, the login details will be the same for both systems.
The Express login credentials are now drawn directly from your PPS system so any user that requires access to Express will need to be added to the 'User Profile' screen, below, in PPS and the login ID and password added in PPS will then be used to log into Express too.
Troubleshooting scenarios:
a. Setting up a new user to access Express - The user will need to be added by the System Administrator in PPS. Please follow this guide to add a new user.
b. Resetting a password if the Express user cannot log in - The System Administrator can reset a PPS or Express user's password at any time if they cannot log in. Please follow the instructions in the first section in this guide to reset a password.
Tip: Please note that resetting a password will update the login for Express and PPS access.
c. A new user has been activated for Express but they don't log into PPS currently - You will need to ensure that the user has been assigned login details in PPS. If the user is visible under Tools > Set Up Practitioners and System Users then select Modify > Login Details and add a new Login ID and Set Password. The user will then be able to log into Express with these details.
