Please Note: This guide is only applicable for users accessing our new Express v2 system. If you have not had your system updated to this version of Express you can find information on the settings in Express here.
The System Settings in PPS allow you to set up and make changes to your SMS account, the Diary Availability, the Confirmations & Reminders, Appointment Types, Reasons for Non-Attendance, Blocked Time Reasons, the currency displayed and access to the Beta update.
Important: Some of these options will only be available for Express only systems. If you do not see all of these options you will have a PPS system linked to this Express system where these changes can be made - Diary Availability, Conformations & Reminders, Appointment Types, Reasons for Non-Attendance & Blocked Time Reasons.
You can access the System Settings by navigating to the Settings menu which you will find in the top right corner if you click the icon with the 3 vertical lines. You can then select System Settings.
SMS Settings
SMS messages can be sent to clients in the form of appointment confirmations and reminders.
This guide explains how to set up your own SMS Account.
Diary Availability
Add and modify your diary availability in this screen. Adding the availability will apply it for the selected user for one year from the current week.
Accounts
Change the currency that your invoices will display for all your accounts here.
Confirmations & Reminders
Set up your confirmation or reminder message text here. This guide goes through all the details.
Beta Access
This tab will be available if a Beta update is available with some of the latest features and enhancements to try out.
Click Give me Beta Access to update to the beta. You can switch back to the general release at any time by coming back to this tab.
Important: By switching to Express Beta, all other users of the same Express database will also be updated, as a result, any users logged in when you decide to update will automatically be logged out and will need to log in again.
Appointment Types
This section allows you to add, modify or delete different appointment types.

Standard Charges
This section allows you to configure multiple charges in your system that can either be linked to the appointment types (above) or can be used separately when completing an appointment, for example; for adding on charges for stock items.
Reasons for Non-Attendance
Add the reasons that your clients might fail to attend an appointment here and add charge amounts if necessary to automatically raise a charge if an appointment is DNA'd.

Blocked Time Reasons
Add the blocked-out time reasons in this section so that the specific reasons can be noted when a diary user is unavailable.
