Please Note: This guide is only applicable to users accessing our new Express v2 system. If you have not had your system updated to this version of Express you can contact support@rushcliff.com to see if you are eligible for an upgrade.
Section 1 - Attach a Document
You are able to attach a document from your local computer or device to the consultation in PPS Express. This will help you keep all information and documentation relating to the client in one secure place.
Documents can be attached in 2 different ways:
a. Through the Client Log:
To attach a document through the client log select Client and search for the relevant client. Then select Client Log where you can then Attach a Document.
You will then see the Attach Document screen where you can Browse Files to find the documents from your computer or device that you want to attach:
Please Note: If you use a PPS system alongside Express v2 you will need to ensure that your documents are under 10kb each so that they can sync between your systems. If you are scanning any documents you can keep the file size down by lowering the resolution (DPI). Please contact support@rushcliff.com if there are any issues with the file sizes.
Once the document is selected you can then check the Practitioner responsible, the Date and the Treatment Episode associated. You can also provide a specific Heading for the document and add any required notes:
You will then find the document saved on the client log where you can View/Edit or Download it:
b. Through the Consultation screen:
To attach a document to the consultation you will first need to search for and select the relevant client and then select to open the consultation screen. You can then select the consultation settings menu in the top right-hand corner and select to Attach Document:
You will then see the Attach Document screen where you can Browse Files to find the documents from your computer or device that you want to attach.
Once the document is selected you can then check the Practitioner responsible, the Date and the Treatment Episode associated. You can also provide a specific Heading for the document and add any required notes:
To then view the document navigate to the consultation history panel and expand the Treatment Episode and the Document folder where you should see the document that you have added:
Tip: You might need to REFRESH the consultation history window to view a document that has just been downloaded.
Section 2 - Capture a photo
Similarly to the document upload, you are also able to take a photo through the Express system. This can be used if you need to take a photo of a client during the consultation process.
Photos can be captured and saved in 3 different ways:
a. Through the client log:
To capture a photo through the client log select Client and search for the relevant client. Then select Client Log where you can then Capture Photo:
You will then be able to 'Take Photo' where your device's camera will be used.
Select the 'x' icon to close out of the camera.
Select the 'camera' icon to take the picture.
Select the 'flip' icon if your device has multiple cameras (like a front and back camera on a phone).
If you choose to capture the image you will then have 3 options:
Select 'Close' to close the camera and the image won't be saved.
Select 'Accept' if you are happy with the image and want to proceed to save it.
Select 'Retake' and it will allow you to take the picture again.
b. Through the consultation screen:
To capture a photo through the consultation you will first need to search for and select the relevant client and then select to open the consultation screen. You can then select the consultation settings menu in the top right hand corner and select to Capture Photo:
You will then be able to use your device's camera to take a photo and save it to the consultation in the same way as above.
c. Through a Custom Form:
To capture a photo through a form you will need to open the consultation screen and select Forms where you can select a suitable form - this form will need to have a Body Chart question with the option ticked to 'allow the user to select another image file'.
Tip: Custom Forms can be designed and customised through the PPS system. Have a look at this guide for information on Custom Forms in PPS.
You can then choose to 'Take Photo' where you will be able to use your device's camera to capture the image.
Once saved to the form the photo can then be annotated if required.
