Important: This report will only apply to systems that sync with a local system that were effected by the hosted server outage on 7/04/2021 that resulted in missing data from Tuesday 6/04/2021.
We have created a custom report that can be run from your local database to re-synchronise any missing data from 6/04/2021 to your hosted database.
Please follow these steps to set up and run this report on your locally hosted database:
Download the Re-Sync Report here. This is a PPS report that will locate all data from Tuesday 6th April and ensure it is safely re-synced to your PPS Online system so that both systems are up to date.
The Re-Sync report now needs to be placed into your local PPS database so that it’s available for you to run.
Whilst logged in to your PPS local system navigate to Help > About PPS. From the screen that appears here, you can use the Database Location field to confirm where your PPS database is located.
Navigate to this location using Windows File Explorer. In the PPS-Database folder right click and create a new folder called CustomReports if you do not have one already. Open CustomReports and place the downloaded file custom_report_data_to_audit.exe inside.
Return to your PPS local system. Navigate to Reports > Reports & Mail Merge > Custom. You should now see the report named Prepare Data for Re-Sync. Select this report and choose Run.
The report is pre-formatted to re-sync data from 06/04.
You will receive a confirmation screen on which you can choose Yes. A progress bar will appear on the screen as the report works through each transaction marking it to re-sync. You will be notified on-screen once the process is complete.
After this time all transactions from Tuesday 6th April will be re-synchronised to your PPS Online database. Each transaction must sync, so the systems may take some time to clear the transactions but they will eventually appear in your PPS Online system. If you have multiple PPS Local systems then you only need to run the re-sync report on one of your systems databases to restore all data to PPS Online.
