New referrals by source
This report will show you how to run a report on all new referrals received in PPS by their referral source. This report assumes you are already using Treatment Episodes within PPS. It's recommended that you read our general reporting guide first, to better understand PPS' reporting capabilities.
Section 1 - Selecting a Report
All reports can be found via Reports > Reports & Mail Merge and are sorted into sections. For this report, we’re going to open the Treatment Episode List Report to use the Reports Wizard.
Section 2 - Select
This section gives you the option to include Treatment Episodes under a specific practitioner, and to only show active episodes, rather than those which have now been completed.
Section 3 - Date Range
Now we need to select the date range which the treatment first occurred in. For example, if you want to see the number of new referrals last month, we would set the date range as Last Month. In this screen, you can choose to apply the date range to either the Start or End date of the treatment.
Section 4 - Breakdown
This section allows us to break down the report by certain areas, for this report we’re going to choose to breakdown by Referral (Treatment Episode) which will sort the results by referral source. You could also choose to breakdown by Referral Contact or Company, in addition.
Section 5 - Criteria
This section allows us to be particular about the treatments we are reporting on. For example, we could choose to only show results where the treatment area was set to the Knee.
This section can be skipped.
Section 6 - Print/Preview Options
This section allows us to choose extra snippets of information to view in the report Preview mode. Toggle to include things such as the Treatment Episode Diagnosis.
