Important: You will only be able to install a read only copy of PPS on a Windows machine, a local copy can NOT be installed on a Mac unless it's running full Windows virtualisation.
In the instance that your PPS hosted system has been terminated and you have been given a zipped copy of your PPS Database you can follow this guide to install a blank copy of PPS and replace the database to gain access to your data.
Please Note: You will receive your registration file along with your PPS database but if your system has been terminated your registration file will be set to 'Read-Only' meaning that no additional data can be added to the system, you can only use the system to look at the historical data.
Section 1: Installing a blank database
You will first need to install a the PPS program with a blank database.

During the installation, please make sure that the software installs successfully. Do not proceed any further if the software does not install correctly.
By default the software will install to C:\PPSv4.0 but may be installed elsewhere.
The installation will create a blank instance of the PPSv4.0 folder in the location determined during installation. Locate this folder.
Section 2: Replacing the blank database with your data
Someone from the Support Team will have logged into the machine that you provided and left a folder called PPS Export with your PPS Database and your registration files on the desktop.
You will need to unzip and copy the PPS-Database folder from the folder on the desktop and paste it into the PPSv4.0 folder.
Take care to replace the folders created during the installation rather than merging it with the version from the back up.
Once the files have been replaced with those from the backup you should be able to log in as normal.
Please Note: It is your responsibility to back up and look after your local data once is has been exported.
